Unauthorised works granted consent!

The client had installed solar panels on both sides of his 20th century garage building within the setting of his listed building and within a conservation area without permission. In addition, he had installed an EV charger on the listed building itself.

Fortunately, the EV charger can be relocated onto the garage. The planning application included this relocation as well as regularisation of the solar panels. It was agreed that the level of harm was minimal and the public benefits of improving the green credentials of the site balanced.

It is great news that consent was granted, especially as the client is trying his best to do what he can for climate change.
